Stop: Wicklow on route to Kildare

On route tour of Rossbourough House for Tea & sconces.

Russborough was built between 1741-1750 and is one of Ireland’s most beautiful houses. It has magnificent views of the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains. A parkland walk with views of the house takes about half an hour. In addition, a 20,000 sq. feet head high Beech hedge Maze is very popular with children and adults alike. There is also a 150-year-old ‘Hippodrome’ building used for training horses in past centuries. Several craft workshops are open at various times including a blacksmith with working forge and a weaver with working looms. Also, a wood turner and a silversmith show how these ancient crafts are still undertaken today.

Stop at: Kilkenny Castle

Kilkenny Castle is open to visitors all year round. The house is a Victorian remodelling of the thirteenth century defensive Castle. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to see this grand country house and walk through its fifty acres of parkland with mature trees and an abundance of wildlife. Other features include a formal terraced rose garden, woodlands, a man-made lake, which were added in the nineteenth century.

Kilkenny City Tour

Explore the oldest original operating lighthouse in the world as you take a Sunset Tour Experience and enjoy one of the greatest journeys through the maritime gateway of Ireland’s Ancient East.

Enjoy a warming Irish Mead welcome and guided tour of the 800-year-old lighthouse. Discover the fascinating insights and stories of times gone by with some help from historical characters along the way. Climb the 115 well-worn steps of the tower and take in breathtaking views of the South East coast of Ireland from the upper balcony.

Your tour will conclude in the watch-room & balcony where you can savour Irish mead, prosecco, fresh tea and coffee along with Ballyhack smokehouse smoked salmon on homemade brown bread, a selection of homemade canapés and desserts. The heritage town of Lismore in County Waterford, set on the banks of the River Blackwater at the foot of the Knockmealdown mountains. Stroll along this historic town and explore its many gems, including the medieval Lismore Cathedral.

Tour of Midleton Distillery
The Jameson Experience Tour is a guided tour around the original Midleton Distillery which brings the stories of Jameson’s rich heritage to life. You’ll learn about the working people and field-to-glass processes responsible for the whiskey that holds the John Jameson’s name.


On this tour, you will be guided around some of the key buildings, including the warehouses and the Microdistillery. The tour finishes with your chance to do a guided comparative tasting of three famous whiskeys, one being Jameson.

Cliffs of Moher
