Niche Nomads founded in 2017, is a travel company with a difference. Unlike most other travel companies we offer niche experiences that are tailored to our client’s needs. 
We are here to deliver the travel experience that will make your holiday unique and memorable. From road trips to sea dips every itinerary is an adventure.

Niche Nomads team is involved at every step. For us, that means first-hand knowledge of the most experiential places to sleep, eat and explore.

We pride ourselves on delivering truly unique travel experiences through expert local knowledge, carefully bespoke experiences, and hand-picked boutique accommodation.

History

Niche Nomads headquarters remain in Ireland at Shannon Airport and its Directors and owners are Peter Costelloe, Steve Gulvin and Keith Wood. Our senior leadership team have extensive experience in the corporate transportation and concierge environment, having worked for large multinational organisations in the corporate aviation sector in Europe, Russia, USA, Asia and the Middle East over the past 35 years.

Peter Costelloe

Founder & Director

Peter’s achievements include logistical planning for a vast array of A list celebrities, government officials and the senior decision makers within large multinational companies. Peter has been involved in the logistical support for four U.S. Presidential visits to Ireland and received a personal thank you from President Barack Obama after his trip to Ireland in May 2011.

Prior to founding Niche Nomads and our sister companies By Appointment DMC and Airport Gateway, Peter worked for a global corporate aviation company where he held several managerial roles. Peter’s objective is to ensure that the team in Niche Nomads are constantly adapting to our clients’ needs while simultaneously focusing on how to develop new and unique experiences ensuring we can provide that WOW factor for our guests. Peter’s mantra which he likes to share with the Niche Nomads team, mirrors that of his favourite sporting team “Impossible is Nothing”. .

Steve Gulvin Niche Nomads
Steve Gulvin

Director & Co-owner

Steve joined in 2014 as Co-owner and Director having spent over 30 years in the executive travel, hotel and aviation industry. He has headed up the strategic development of the business which has included securing investment to support Niche Nomads and its sister companies growth strategy including acquiring a fleet of executive vehicles for touring.

Prior to joining, Steve worked for a global corporate services company as Director of Sales & Marketing and travelled extensively throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia and the USA. He has also worked for Head of State organisations in the Middle East and the UK including The Queens Flight where he had the honour to be presented to Her Majesty the Queen of England in 1984. In his spare time, he works with local sporting associations and manages an U10 Boys Soccer Team in County Clare. He is an avid Newcastle United Supporter and longs for the day that his team will eventually win a trophy.

Keith Wood Niche Nomads
Keith Wood

Keith joined in 2016 as an advisor. Keith has worked with a number of large global brands providing expertise in sponsorship, strategy and marketing implementation. He advises the growth strategy for Niche Nomads and its sister companies.

Keith is a former captain of the Irish, British & Irish Lions, Munster, Harlequins & Garryowen Rugby Teams. He is also co-owner of W2 Consulting which provides a wide range of consultative assignments in Ireland and the UK to a broad range of businesses including SME’s, Multinationals, Statutory Agencies, National Governing Bodies, professional sports bodies and community organisations.

Keith holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Limerick for services to Sport and was the inaugural winner of the IRB World Player of the Year in 2001. He is a Patron of Special Olympics, Chair of the Healthy Ireland Council and Patron of the UNESCO Chair for Inclusive Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness in Tralee IT.

Community (CRS)

Our management team have proven experience integrating within the local community having organised and raised thousands of pounds for the Lady’s Crumlin Hospital in Ireland and Starlight Foundation in the UK. We will continue this tradition by ensuring Niche Nomads works with organisations within each of its local communities for fund raising as well as work sponsored programs.

In Ireland we are actively involved with local community GAA and Soccer teams for children under the age of sixteen and are delighted to assist the following clubs:

  • Ballyea Hurling Team. Founded in 1934 and based in County Clare
  • Clondegad Football team. Founded in 1943 and currently building a new clubhouse. By Appointment DMC sponsors the team jerseys for the Under 10 and 12 boys teams
  • Fern Celtic Soccer Team. Founded in 2001, we act as one of the co-sponsors as well as spend time managing the boys Under 10 teams.
